FAQs

01

What can the tiki boat be used for?

Cruising to the sandbar or nearby islands, exploring the water around John's Pass, dolphin tours (but with alcohol permitted), going to one of the area's waterfront restaurants, hosting a happy hour, sunset cruises, and many more other fun activities!

03

Will food and drink be provided?

Any food or drink that you would like to bring is welcome aboard our boat! We do not provide food or drinks; however, we will supply a cooler of fresh ice onboard for your use. Have the best Sandwich in St Pete waiting on the boat for you! Catering options are available from our friends over at Gateway Subs.To-go food and drinks are  also available for purchase at our on-site tiki bar, Harbor Master Tiki Grille (727-256-3383). Anyone bringing or consuming alcohol must be 21 years of age.

05

Are children allowed on the boat?

Yes, children are allowed on the boat but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. St. Pete Tiki Tours is great for families wanting to relax with the children, spot dolphins, and explore the best of the Gulf of Mexico. All children under 6 years of age must wear a Personal Floatation Device (aka life jacket) the entire time they are on the boat – absolutely no exceptions to this rule!

We recommend bringing your own life jacket for kids – your personal life jacket will be more comfortable and will likely offer a better fit, but we do have some available for use.

07

What is your weather policy?

The tiki boat will not operate in any unsafe conditions. The tiki roof covers the majority of the boat, and it is at the discretion of the customer whether they would like to continue their tour in light rain.

Trips that are canceled or cut short due to weather may be given either an opportunity to reschedule, or a refund at the discretion of St. Pete Tiki Tours. The captain reserves the right to cancel a trip at any time due to unsafe weather conditions or behavioral issues.

02

Can we host our special event on the tiki boat?

Yes, you can! People have celebrated many special occasions on the tiki boat including birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, weddings and vow renewals, corporate events, and team-building/bonding activities.

04

Who is our captain?

Your captain/guide is a local United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain who is experienced and familiar with area waterways. They will comply with all safety regulations and rules of the water.

Gratuity is not included in your trip price but is greatly appreciated by your captain. It is customary to tip 20% of the trip's cost.

06

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance can be rescheduled or you may receive a full refund. For trips canceled 24 to 48 hours prior to departure, you will receive a 50% refund.

No-shows and cancellations within 24 hours of departure will not be given a refund. Please note that the captain reserves the right to end a tour at any time due to behavioral issues; this will not result in a refund.

08

Are there dolphin sightings?

Florida’s western coast on the Gulf of Mexico is famous for being home to the friendly marine mammal, dolphins. Although we don’t just offer dolphin tours, the waters of St. Pete Beach are the perfect body of water for dolphin sightings.
