Frequently Asked Questions

What can the tiki boat be used for?

  • Dolphin watching, cruising to the sandbar or nearby islands, exploring the water around John's Pass, going to one of the area's waterfront restaurants, hosting happy hour, sunset cruises and many more other fun activities! Call today to book and plan your custom adventure!

Can we host our special event on the tiki boat?

  • Yes you can! People have celebrated many special occasions on the tiki boat including: birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties, weddings and vow renewals, corporate events and team building/bonding activities. Call to book today and ask about our full day tour rates and our post-sunset lighted evening tours.

Will food and drink be provided?

  • Any food or drink that you would like to bring is welcome aboard our boat! We do not provide food or drinks, however we will supply a cooler of fresh ice onboard for your use. To-go food and drinks are also available for purchase at our on-site tiki bar, Harbor Master Tiki Grille (727-256-3383). Anyone bringing or consuming alcohol must be 21 years of age.

Who is our captain?

  • Your captain/guide is a local United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain who is experienced and familiar with area waterways. They will comply with all safety regulations and rules of the water. Gratuity is not included in your trip price, but is greatly appreciated by your captain. It is customary to tip 20% of the trip's cost.

Are children allowed on the boat?

  • Yes, children are allowed on the boat, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. All children under 6 years of age must wear a Personal Floatation Device (aka life jacket) the entire time they are on the boat – absolutely no exceptions to this rule! We recommend bringing your own life jacket for kids – your personal life jacket will be more comfortable and will likely offer a better fit, but we do have some available for use.

What is your cancellation policy?

  • If you cancel your tour more than 48 hours in advance, you will be given the option to reschedule or offered a full refund. If you cancel your trip between 24 and 48 hours prior to departure, you will be given a 50% refund. No-shows and cancellations within 24 hours of departure will not be given a refund. The captain reserves the right to end a tour at any time due to behavioral issues; this will not result in any refund.

What is your weather policy?

The tiki boat will not operate in any unsafe conditions. The tiki roof covers the majority of the boat, and it is at the discretion of the customer whether they would like to continue their tour in light rain. Trips that are cancelled or cut short due to weather may be given either an opportunity to reschedule, or a refund at the discretion of St. Pete Tiki Tours. The captain reserves the right to cancel a trip at any time due to unsafe weather conditions.
